History of the company

ATS started its operations in Mauritius in February 1985 with the sales & after-sales service of Textile & Apparel Equipment. Our objective was to provide a "one-stop-shop" service to our customers & contribute in reducing lead times & cost by consolidating orders through one & same supplier.

Since this time, ATS kept heading towards a more diversified strategic positioning, without changing its core business structure. We aimed, and still do, at expanding and providing other related segments with our professional service.

We therefore managed to strengthen our existing clients portfolio, develop our business and increase company loyalty.

As an illustration of this strategy, we successfully penetrated in 2003 the hotels & restaurants industry with the supply and servicing of Hi-tech laundry room equipment. As a result, we quickly started to enjoy close partnership with a wide spectrum of high class hotels & restaurants in the region. In 2006 we carried on stimulating our activity with the supply of Corghi Automotive equipment, the world leader automotive manufacturer, after many years of strong partnership with Corghi Winding equipment.

Brands & Markets

ATS Ltd. holds over 25 exclusive brand representations from major international equipment & accessories manufacturers. We primarily deal with all major textile factories in Mauritius, Madagascar & countries in the Africa and high class hotels & restaurants mainly in Mauritius.

Employees

We currently employ about 80 persons out of which 30 to 35 highly committed sales and service engineers. Moreover, our sales and technical staff undergo regular training in Japan, Europe or the USA so as to gather as much knowledge and skills in order to provide ATS highest level of service to our customers.

ISO 9001-2000

In 2000 ATS was one of the first Mauritian companies to be awarded the ISO 9001-1994 certificate. In 2006 we upgraded to the ISO 9001-2000 version. This challenging exercise has enabled us to review and improve our procedures and has helped us in our continuous quest to provide a constant quality service to our clients.

Oracle

In 2006, we implemented a fully integrated customer centered ORACLE ERP/CRM information management system. The objective is to make our clients benefit from improved proactivity and reactivity as well as more customized response to their needs or issues & time saving in any business activity they are involved in.

Head Office
Our head office is situated next to the Central Business District of the capital city, close to the port and customs, most of our major financial partners and government agencies.

Showroom
High Class Merchandising Facility

In 1997 our new showroom started its operations in the outskirts of Port Louis. This new facility has been set up so as to cater for a high-class merchandising environment.

In the proximity of the store and with its welcoming and knowledgeable sales Team, its wide display of products and its convenience for the organization of private exhibitions and off-site customer training, our showroom has become a major resource centre for all our clients.

Stores & Bonded Warehousing Facilities
Easy Access, Fast Deliveries

Next to our showroom, we have 2,000 square meters of warehousing space as well as a bonded warehouse of about 400 square meters for the storage of dutiable items pending duty free customs clearance.

Under normal circumstances, we can deliver ex-stock items within 4 to 8 hours after receipt of order at any point in Mauritius and 24 to 48 hours for any bonded item.

ATS Training Centre
Professional & Complete Training

ATS Training Centre was officially registered in 2001 and is affiliated to the Mauritius Qualifications Authority (MQA) and the Mauritius Industrial and Vocational Training Board. It aims at providing training not only to our clients but also those wishing to take up a career in the Textile and Apparel Industry. Moreover, this concept provides our customers with pre-trained personnel for any expansion plan.

Information technology

Over 80% of our work force uses at least a desktop computer, one of the highest ratio in Mauritius for a company of our size and over 95% of our staff is computer literate. Moreover, the head office is linked on-line with our warehouse in real time using wireless data transfer.
